What is End Point Assessment

End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the final evaluation process in an apprenticeship, designed to test an apprentice’s skills, knowledge, and competence against the specific standards of their chosen occupation. Conducted at the end of the training period, the EPA ensures that apprentices are fully prepared to excel in their roles. It typically involves a combination of practical assessments, written tests, and interviews, depending on the apprenticeship standard. At 1st Awards, we are your End-Point Assessment specialists, with extensive experience in the industry. Our expert assessors are dedicated to helping apprentices achieve the best possible results, ensuring a smooth and successful transition into the workforce.

Our Team

Our assessors are our frontline and often the first people to represent 1st Awards to the apprentice. They play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, fair, and transparent End-Point Assessment (EPA) process. At 1st Awards, we know what it takes to achieve results. As individuals and as a team, we go above and beyond to support apprentices, ensuring they can showcase their best work. This dedication helps you deliver for your business, knowing that we’re committed to providing the highest level of service and ensuring success every step of the way with your End Point Assessment specialist, 1st Awards.

Our Mission

Helping shape the future workforce by providing first-class End Point Assessment, conducted by industry experts with experience, innovation, and passion.

Since founding 1st Awards in 2019, Tracey and Andrew have been dedicated to ensuring that End Point Assessments are conducted with personality, clear communication, and a seamless process. While there are many End Point Assessment Organisations, few can genuinely claim to be as responsive and passionate about the success and well-being of apprentices.

Our goal is to support the development of the UK’s future workforce by delivering honest and reliable assessments. We put apprentices at the heart of everything we do, working alongside training providers to give each apprentice the best possible chance of achieving outstanding results.

We believe that every apprentice deserves an assessment experience that not only measures their abilities but also builds their confidence and prepares them for the next stage of their career. By fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration, we aim to leave a lasting impact—not just on the apprentices we assess, but on the industries they will shape and the communities they will serve. Together, we are not just assessing skills; we are building futures.
